Rusren Enterprises cc trading as Gear Industries was initially started in 2003 by Russell Hendry who is a qualified Mining Engineer with 25 years experience in the mining industry.

His last designation, prior to establishing Gear industries was as a General Manager of four mines and an alternate director in Xstrata Coal SA.

Gear industries was contracted by Xstrata Coal SA in September 2004, as a specialized service provider, to perform safety compliance inspections on all contractor equipment that may enter their mine premises and to attach tags to all equipment that must comply with the necessary safety requirements.

Tagging’ for safety compliance is Gear Industries’ core business.

Throughout the past 20 years, our clientele has grown exponentially, and we have added more services to offer, such as; LMI related services, Brake testing, Lux testing, Safety Consulting and Health & Safety Training.
